Buen Fin 2026 (November 13–17): the logistics calendar for arriving with inventory

Mexico's Buen Fin 2026 runs Friday, November 13 through Tuesday, November 17. In 2025 the online channel sold almost 46 billion pesos, up 31% year over year. A week-by-week backward calendar so your inventory is ready before the first order.

Buen Fin 2026 — Mexico's biggest annual sales event — will run from Friday, November 13 to Tuesday, November 17: five straight days, with Monday the 16th a federal holiday for Revolution Day. Mexico's Ministry of Economy confirmed the dates on September 7, and merchant registration is open through November 12.

That leaves seven weeks. Plenty of time to sell. For getting inventory where it needs to be, it's already late if you import and just in time if you buy domestically.

Why the online channel matters more this year

The 2025 numbers:

Metric Figure Source
Total Buen Fin 2025 sales 219.2 billion pesos Ministry of Economy
Online channel sales ~46 billion pesos AMVO, via T21
Online growth vs 2024 31% AMVO
E-commerce share of total 21% AMVO
Participating merchants ~216,000 (13% more than 2024) Concanaco

A 31% jump in one year is the number to read carefully. If last year's Buen Fin is your baseline, planning for "the same plus a bit" is the most common way to run out of stock on Saturday.

The calendar, counted backward from November 13

The rule that organizes everything: inventory has to be received, counted and put away in the warehouse before the sale starts — not "in transit." A product that arrives Thursday the 12th at night doesn't sell on Friday the 13th; it sells once someone has received it, counted it and loaded it into the system.

Week What has to happen Why then
Sep 28 – Oct 9 SKU-level forecast using Buen Fin 2025 as the baseline Without a forecast, no purchase order makes sense
Sep 28 – Oct 9 Orders for imported product already placed International transit + customs clearance is the leg you control least
Oct 12 – 23 Orders to domestic suppliers placed Leaves room for a one-week delay without touching the sale date
Oct 26 – Nov 6 Merchandise received at the warehouse Receiving docks get congested everywhere in peak season; arriving the final week means joining the line
Nov 9 – 12 Kits assembled, promotions loaded, catalog synced Inventory that isn't published at the right quantity either oversells or doesn't sell
Nov 13 – 17 Operation Five days of orders, including a holiday Monday
Nov 18 – 27 Shipping backlog and first returns Orders placed Tuesday the 17th are still being shipped days later

Two notes on the table. First, the customs leg isn't theoretical. On September 14–15, 2026, a failure in Mexico's tax authority systems halted customs clearance for two days. If your imported product lands in the last week of October, an episode like that pushes it out of Buen Fin. Second, the dates are a reasonable starting point, not a rule; if your domestic supplier takes three weeks, shift them.

How much inventory: the forecast almost nobody gets right

The typical mistake is multiplying last year's total sales by a percentage. A useful forecast is built per SKU:

  1. Take each SKU's units sold during Buen Fin 2025.
  2. Adjust for what changed: new product, different price, deeper or shallower discount, more channels.
  3. Add safety stock calculated with the variability of those days, not a normal month's. Demand swings far more in a peak week.
  4. Separate what sells on marketplaces from what sells in your own store. On Amazon or Mercado Libre, a stockout also costs you ranking.

If your catalog is large, don't do this for everything. Go deep on the 20% of products that drive your sales and use simple rules for the rest — ABC inventory classification exists for exactly that.

Monday the 16th and five days in a row

A five-day event changes operations more than it changes sales:

  • Ask your carrier today what it picks up on Monday the 16th. It's a federal holiday. If there's no pickup, orders from Saturday, Sunday and Monday all ship Tuesday — which is also the last day of the sale.
  • Set a cutoff time for each day. The cutoff is the latest time an order can come in and still ship the same day. Publish it; a customer who knows their order ships Tuesday doesn't write on Monday asking where it is.
  • Get capacity in writing. If you work with a 3PL, confirm how many orders per day it can fulfill on those dates and what happens to orders beyond that.

The rest of peak-season prep (staffing, packaging, delivery promises) is in our general guide to demand spikes; this calendar is the date-dependent part.
